What we focus on

The whole child. Not just the academic one.

  • Inquiry-Based Learning & Problem-Solving

Children pose questions, design investigations and reflect on findings. Critical thinking is the skill that underpins everything else in school and in life.

  • Letter & Sound Awareness

Phonics, rhyme, letter recognition and early reading strategies are woven into daily experiences — not extracted to a workbook.

  • Fine Motor Skills & Early Writing

Cutting, threading, playdough, drawing and mark-making all build the hand strength and pencil control children need before they start formal writing.

  • STEM Exploration & Critical Thinking

Building, measuring, coding with Beebots, exploring cause and effect — STEM at this age looks like play and feels like magic.

  • School Readiness & Extra-Curricular Activities

Social confidence, emotional regulation, independence and resilience — alongside excursions, incursions and specialist activities — so children arrive at school ready for everything.

A day in the Orange Room

Prepared for school. Prepared for life.

The Orange Room delivers Victorian Government-funded 4-year-old kinder inside our long-day programme — which means children benefit from a qualified Early Childhood Teacher and a structured kinder curriculum without moving to a separate service.

Our school-readiness programme focuses on the whole child: social confidence, emotional regulation, fine motor skills and early literacy — alongside STEM projects, dramatic play and specialist activities. Children don’t just learn to hold a pencil; they learn how to ask good questions, manage conflict and persist when things are hard.

We work closely with families and local primary schools to make the transition smooth. Children leave our programme genuinely ready — not just academically but socially, emotionally and physically.
