Educators and children at My Stars Early Learning
Our Programs

Five rooms. One curriculum that grows with your child.

Programs at My Stars are guided by EYLF 2.0, VEYLDF and MTOP, and shaped each week by observations, family input and the children's own emerging interests. Every room is a learning environment — not a holding space.

Experiences across all rooms

What a typical week looks like.

Environments are regularly updated to reflect children’s interests, cultural experiences and emerging learning. Children develop confidence, creativity, emotional regulation, early literacy and numeracy — and a love of learning that lasts.

  • Sensory and messy play
  • Music and movement
  • Literacy and numeracy
  • STEM and inquiry projects
  • Outdoor and nature play
  • Yoga and mindfulness
  • Dramatic play and creative arts
  • Incursions, excursions and Bush Kinder
How children learn at My Stars

The four threads we weave together.

  • Thread 01

    Child-Led Learning

Children's interests, ideas and voices help guide experiences.

  • Thread 02

    Intentional Teaching

Educators scaffold learning through questioning, modelling and meaningful interactions.

  • Thread 03

    Play-Based Learning

Children learn through exploration, inquiry, creativity and play.

  • Thread 04

    Daily Routines

Care routines support independence, belonging and security.

On school readiness

“If a child can hold a pencil, write their name and count to 100 — but doesn’t know how to make friends, manage emotions or be independent — none of the other stuff matters.”
