Children engaged in hands-on discovery and inquiry at My Stars
Our Philosophy

Childhood is a journey of discovery, creativity and growth.

Our programs are guided by the EYLF 2.0, VEYLDF and MTOP — and aligned with the National Quality Standards. Beneath the frameworks sit six things we deeply believe.

How we approach learning

Every day is an opportunity to grow something new.

Children are naturally curious. Our role is to create environments where that curiosity is welcomed, guided and celebrated. We follow the Early Years Learning Framework 2.0, the Victorian Early Years Development and Learning Framework, and My Time, Our Place — but the real teacher is a child who is secure enough to explore.

Our six pillars

The beliefs we build every program from.

  1. 01

    Partnerships with Families

We actively collaborate with families to co-create learning experiences, celebrate achievements and provide consistent support — building a community where children thrive.

  2. 02

    Nurturing & Care

Children are supported in a safe, warm and empowering environment, fostering diversity, confidence, self-esteem and social-emotional wellbeing.

  3. 03

    Learning Through Inquiry & Discovery

Play, investigation and project-based learning develop critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving — so each child is an active participant in their own learning journey.

  4. 04

    Respect for Individuality

Every child is recognised as unique, with programs tailored to their strengths, interests and pace — supporting inclusive and equitable outcomes.

  5. 05

    Investment in Educators

Our passionate, highly qualified educators engage in ongoing professional learning, mentoring and reflective practice — so every child benefits from excellence in education and care.

  6. 06

    Sustainability & Responsibility

Children are encouraged to care for themselves, each other and the environment — embedding sustainable practices and respect for the natural world into daily life.

A child deep in curiosity and discovery

“Every child is an active participant in their own learning journey — not a recipient of it.”

My Stars Early Learning

At My Stars, we don’t deliver a curriculum to children. We observe what each child is drawn to, what questions they’re asking and what challenges they’re ready for — and we build learning around that.

Our educators are trained to turn every moment — a shared meal, an outdoor adventure, a moment of frustration — into an opportunity for growth. That’s what intentional teaching looks like in an early learning centre.
